You will be caring for you new tattoo for 7-10 days. We use a dry healing method for eyebrows, eyeliner & SMP. We find this is the best method to ensure your design stays locked in. This means you cannot sweat into the area or get it saturated in water. You will be given an after care card with all instructions as well as complimentary forehead shields that make showering a breeze so that you don’t have to get them wet. You can shower as usual. When washing your
face, wash around the tattooed area with a wash cloth.
For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on the area with a clean paper towel, to remove any lymph.
For the first 5 days you will only clean the area with the provided cleansing wipes.
Please do not use any other store bought wipes. Use only the ones we give you.
On day 6 you will start to gently cleanse the area with a gentle, non-active cleanser. It is very important you start to wash them on this day and DO NOT scrub or force any dead skin off. Let the dead skin fall off on its own. Picking and scrubbing can lead to scaring and compromise your design.
During the healing phase your tattoo will get dark, itchy, flakey & peel because you technically have a little scab on the area we tattooed. Most people continue
normal lifestyle activities like social gatherings and work. If you have a vacation, wedding, big event or photos being taken you will want to wait until you are healed which is over by day 10.
After scabs have lifted and the skin is smooth to the touch the area may look light for a few weeks. We call this the “disappearing act” when your skin is renewing itself it thickens for a few weeks making the tattoo appear lighter than
it will be. Clients typically see the color blossom back between 4-6 weeks.
Between 4-8 weeks clients will return for their second session and will go through this exact same process as we are doing the same procedure at your
second session.
At the second session we may need to tweak the design and color. Most of the time clients experience lack of color retention in some areas as your skin rejects pigment while it scabs. This is normal and why we perform permanent makeup
services in two sessions.
